Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society

The Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society's 2024 Annual Conference was held at the new Trade Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. The location was perfect for those from Milwaukee and for those who were not from the area, as the event was held right across from the Fiserv and in walking distance to many great sites. The event kicked off as usual on Thursday evening with registration for sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees. The only session held Thursday evening was the Resident Research presentations with two residents from each university presenting recent research. Following the presentations the group headed to the exhibit hall for dinner, to network with exhibitors, and then the Resident Jeopardy led by Dr. Lang began! Exhibitors and attendees hung around to see which school would win.

Friday morning began with breakfast and educational sessions on topics such as financial planning, the pros and cons of going into private practice, and orthobiologics. Everyone then went to the exhibit hall for a sponsored presentation by Heron Therapeutics, followed by the WOS business meeting. Dr. Campbell provided the group with an update on the society and the new slate of directors for 2024-2026. Lunch was then held in the exhibit hall and followed by an MCW/UW panel, and that concluded the event!
